villain is 24 4 over 30 hands. Did I overplay this? I mostly play 6 max so I don't know if its common to see villains cold calling w. JJ+ preflop.

I don't see how you can play this differently. If he has JJ and didn't 3bet pre flop, well that's just a note you need to put on the guy. If he has a 5 or deuces, that's gross.
