beat: word evades dictionaries worldwide
sometimes, you cannot find the definintion for a word. (apparently)
i'm reading this random thing and came across the word discemably. don't get me wrong, i'm not poorly equipped for this situation. I have a Random House Dictionary: Classic Edition (it is kind of old though.) i've got a Webster's NewWorld Dictionary. i used dictionary.com and the word is not on file there (or any apparent variant). as a last resort, i googled the word. there were 46 entries, the first of which was the website i was veiwing, and, of course, none of the others offered a definition. why teh eff isn't it in a dictionary?

it's in dictionary.com http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/discernably at the bottom, but it's under another word. Part of the reason you won't find words like this in paper dictionaries is that they're just variations of another word. If variations all had seperate listings, then the dictionaries would be too large.
