PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t4000 (8 handed) pokerhand.org hand converter

I really didn't like the 2.5BB EP raise, when the hand came up i had a few thoughts running through my head on what to do but didn't particularly like any of them. So, call and see flop and take it from there? raise and to what amount, and if you choose raise, do you raise with the intention of calling or folding to a push from him (which I guess is dependant on the size of reraise), can anyone even argue a fold here? edit- it's not showing up but there were folds to me, i was like 5th to act |

Mostly call, sometimes reraise, but you can't reraise / fold here

Nath, why do you prefer calling to re-raising and calling a push or open pushing? It's 8 handed so TT should be well ahead of a decent UTG+1 range and playing post-flop even with position is going to be tough given villain's remaining stack size. What texture of flops are you folding to a push or pushing if checked to?

I think reraising often lets an opponent get away from worse hands; it's a slightly more difficult spot if we call, yeah, but we're more likely to stack underpairs or get a bet out of overcards if we call. I'd shove almost any flop except A ones and sometimes K/Q ones.
