Default Re: $500 Splash Pot - $1/$2 NL

[ QUOTE ]
Hopefully I can convince my table to just check it down. My worst fear is that I'll be up a lot -- say $1000 stack or something -- and another person with more than me moves all in on this splash pot. I look down at KQs. Ugh.

During this same structure promo at winstar over christmas break i saw someone take down a 3k+ pot w/ 33 UI at 2/5. I still hate life for folding A8 there (results oriented me remembers flopping top-top oh noes) KQs is the nuts there and you should be happy to get your $$$ in the middle. Buyin your normally amount and regardless of stack size you are getting a great return on your initial investment. Also, if you are UTG its a very good idea to straddle. If youre UTG+1 and UTG straddles, restraddle regardless of the fact that its dead. Its a great benefit to you to have everyone act in front of you. At that point it just becomes a math problem, and the most likely answer is get your stack in there getting 8:1 on your money or whatever it turns out to be.
