[ QUOTE ] and they have a TI-to-Mirage shuttle as well...although this might be out-of-order [/ QUOTE ] I have never seen it operational. [/ QUOTE ] Has anyone ever actually ridden this? It was also working for the durations of last years WSOP. I stayed at TI and frequently made the journey. In response to the other query, TI is fine. It is not the Bellagio or Wynns etc but it is certainly better than places like NY,NY, Paris, Bally, Monte Carlo and Aladdin (or whatever it is called now). The rooms are larger than quite a few others on the strip as well. |

Re: Awful WSOP news from PokerStars
Am I missing something?
So Stars runs 12K packages where they will now make $1,000 for those that don't fly out there to get the hotel money when they register for the WSOP? |

Re: Awful WSOP news from PokerStars
They don't make anything, because that 1000$ was their free comp.
Anyway, this is dissapointing, cause now i have no incentive of playing the sats, since i know i won't play the WSOP and this is basically like playing any other donkament, which i hate. |

Re: Awful WSOP news from PokerStars
[ QUOTE ]
Think of it this way... would you be not required to pay any taxes on poker winnings if all pots were raked 100% and then later the sites 'refunded' you 95% of the rake? [/ QUOTE ] If all pots got raked 100% and then the the rake refunded, the refund would go to the contributors to the pot, so wining would be meaningless anyway. |

[/ QUOTE ] So you are definitely itemizing your concierge purchases on your '07 return, correct? link What about any t-shirts or books you've earned through various poker sites? If I were to estimate the % of players who used the concierge service but didn't report, i'd probably go with 95%. |

The tax system isn't fair but it's still the law. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Do you pay taxes on your online poker store purchases??? [/ QUOTE ] You are supposed to, yes. [/ QUOTE ] Why refunds and rebates are not taxable. The points and store purchases are a basically a rebate of the rake, and seem like the should be tax free just like my cash back on my credit card which I can also redeem in a 'store' they offer. [/ QUOTE ] Cash back on your credit card is considered income and should be included on your taxes. |
