I've been medium active, but haven't been caught getting totally out of line, I'm top 10 in chips with ~130 left. Villain hasn't been at the table too long, no real read. Thoughts on the flop?

I'm not a huge fan of this push with no reads on utg. The 5x raise pf screams AQ/AK to me and the his lead bet into 2 players usually means he has a decent hand that he's not folding.

fwiw, if I raise preflop, it'll be to 20k with anything there, 3*bb's + 1bb per limper.

Do you expect someone to put in almost half their stack and then fold 77 here? You've got to get the guy to fold a better hand, when he's virtually priced himself in, and I don't fancy your chances.

PF I would raise more: about 25-28k and fold after flop bet

P.S. Pretty sick allin.

If he puts me on an overpair, he's not close to priced in here. The shove was looking to fold out exactly 77 type hands, the limp call followed by the 1/2 pot lead looked a lot like that to me, and I played it the exact way I'd play JJ+.

Not saying I'm correct, just that was my thinking. I thought the push was marginal, and possibly worthy of a little discussion.

I get it but he can't put you on exclusively an overpair on this board and so I don't think he's folding if he half pots it here. He has to think he's good against your whole range.

Well, if I'm villain and, and I've limp called with 88 and then lead half the pot, I might not like calling your shove but I'm calling. Perhaps that's just me. So I see his hands as more sets and pairs than I do draws (which I think CR).

ick..... He called the raise and is leading into the raiser, usually a pretty strong hand. couple of blinds steals puts you back where you were pf. I fold here.

the problem is his range includes high pairs (the classic UTG AA limp) and
your range contains a limper steal.

He tanked hard, but called with 22, so I guess my folding equity was lower than I thought. I runner-runnered broadway, took the chip lead and then proceeded to punt my stack and finish 41st.

Thanks for the responses
