150-160...just under a pot sized raise. We called the 3 bet for set value so lets get it,..i'm paying off KK/TT here even Ldonnie..if he calls and the turn is the Tc...well maybe I'm too pessimistic...

[/ QUOTE ]

We didn't call for set value alone, unless I don't know Orange as well as I think. In any case if you were playing 99 here purely for set value against a decent player that would be pretty bad poker.

playing for pure set value is meh, but given this specific situation (stacks/position), i think i can make a move once in a while for it to be profitable.

Lol.

I meant that you should win at show-down unimproved sometimes... He's 3-betting a pretty wide range this deep, I assume, since you're 4-betting A6.

Ldonnie can get somewhat spewy especially in 3bet pots, here is a hand with him today.

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $116
BB: $48
UTG: $273.65
CO: $367.60
Hero (BTN): $198.30

Preflop: Hero is dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 Players)
UTG folds, CO raises to $8, Hero raises to $28, 2 folds, CO raises all-in to $367.60, Hero calls all-in for $170.30
Uncalled bet of $169.30 returned to CO

Flop: ($399.60) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players - 2 All-In)

Turn: ($399.60) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players - 2 All-In)

River: ($399.60) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players - 2 All-In)

Pot Size: $399.60 ($2 Rake)

CO had Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (a pair of Queens) and LOST (-$198.30)
Hero had K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (a pair of Aces) and WON (+$199.30)

As played Orange I would check turn, call almost any river. He will likely put you on a draw, KQ, etc. He is more likely to bet his AK/bluff than call a shove with whatever he has.
