Default I misplay this common STT scenario regularly

OK let's say for whatever reason I end up UTG six or five handed with 1.5x the BB. I have a terrible hand like J2s or 83o. Pushing would win me the most money, but most likely I'd be up against multiple opponents who call my minor raise with superior hands. Is it a higher EV situation to hope for better cards and the chance to be heads up with one opponent, even if my cards are terrible, when the BB hits me? My approach to this varies depending on how I feel but I always think my decision is wrong.

Someone clarify the correct decision here (preferrably mathematically) for me.

What about 3x the BB UTG? Is the EV correct to push any two cards?

If they are playing optimally it certainly is not correct to push any two. If the table are filled with foldbots... it might [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
