[ QUOTE ]
Can someone explain to me, a non-boxing fan, why this fight in particular is getting so much press/going to be so great/such a big deal/has everyone on the edge of their seat, etc.?

I don't watch boxing (usually I find it pretty boring, although I'm a complete MMA nut) but I'm interested in this fight. All I seem to have heard about for months is De La Hoya/Mayweather.

I'll probably "acquire" it since I don't know if it's airing on TV in the UK.

I'm a big fight fan and I really have a hard time believing that this fight will be close at all.

I could definitely see a 120-108, 119-109 type (boring) runaway for Mayweather very easily.

[edit] not to say that's what I think will happen, but I'd be much more surprised by a DLH victory than I would be for Floyd to win 10 or 11 of the 12 rounds.
