Default Beat: Degrassi kids play poker

You can watch the show online on the CTV site, hit "click to watch" in then "Degrassi" and watch "Sunglasses at Night".

Beat: Not watching Degrassi?

Awesome show. Of course the new series doesn't come close to the original(s), but it's still pretty good.

Inevitable, though I was hoping for:

Actually, I saw the ad for the ep a few weeks ago, meant to check it out, forgot and only remembered when I checked the ctv site earlier to see what time Lost is on tonight (geek brag: CTV usually airs it before ABC). I also remember an ad for a news piece on CTV from a few weeks ago about 'the world of competitive bridge making poker look like child's play', but wasn't able to track that one down).

Oh darn, I should have figured, I have the same prob watching stuff on American sites (anyone know a way around it?).

Just so you know what you're missing:
* Kid's boyfriend dumps him or moves away or something.
* Kid is distraught, wins 70$ online playing NL HE, goes out to celebrate, is caught braging and invited to a big live game '25$ to get in, 100$ to buy-in'.
* He wins like 1000$
* He losses more says "everyone goes bust" among a slew of Rounders lines.
* Steals money from his dad.
* Hosts a game in his dad's business while it's closed.
* Flops a straight flush, bets 100$, is about to get raised when the cops come in, they were called on a suspected B&E, break up the game, confiscate all the money.
* Kid comes clean to dad, promises to never play again, they hug.

I love Degrassi but CTV won't re-air season 5 and that's the only season I haven't seen before.
