AK in level 1 against short allin..(6,50)
Poker Stars
No Limit Holdem Tournament Blinds: t10/t20 9 players Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is MP3 with a[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] k[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 folds, MP2 raises all-in t290, Hero raises all-in t1490 after me is 3 stacks with ~1500 chips and 1 stack with 3k chips. Someone told me there is no leak to get the money in with AK at any level preflop in a 6,50. How do u feel about this? standard? |

This seems standard. Short stacks in the beginning want to double up soon and at the lower levels they will play with less than premium hands.

Before I saw the hand when I just red the Headline I was saying to myself "Push/Call - get it all in" and I'm not changing.
I can't see any reason why you would ask this question seriously ... Maybe you consider to just call his all-in ? I'd not like this play b/c it will invite some more players in the pot with good odds. Get it all-in and isolate against a donk whoms range your crushing hard. |

Re: AK in level 1 against short allin..(6,50)
yeah the shortstack is not what concerns me at all. he had some garbagehand i cant even remember, but the guys after me waking up with monsters and i risk busting out before i have my edge witch is the endgame.
I thought that i could both afford to fold here and to just call and fold if someone wanna push after me. but i guess seeeno has a point here. |
