On a side note - this thread and IE's lame search functionality was my final impetus to switch to Firefox as my recreational browser. Which I guess is a good thing. But I KNEW there would be some rough-around-the-edges stuff that would really annoy me.

For one thing everytime I refresh this thread, FF finds some little 3rd party link or whatever to hang on, so I get the little circle going around and around like it's still loading -- all day if I want to leave it that way. There should be some internal logic that says stop after a minute or so.

And the biggest thing is I hate the way FF doesn't jump down to the bottom of the page (for new posts) until it's done or almost done rendering. Why not jump first like IE does? Booo. Just in general the way FF jumps around as it renders pages is unnerving to me. But I'm sure I'll adjust.

Wow, some VERY impressive late stage answers.
