I'm not disagreeing, but I would like to know the rationale behind that. I just can't figure it out myself.

I would agree with this. I have looked at several Fan blogs, and the ones that seem to like Melinda as there favorite each week usually have Jordan and Phil as second and 3rd any given week.

It would also seem that the people voting for Phil (subtracting the VFTW crowd, these votes will go to whom ever they pick next) were voting on (A) style i.e. country rock, and (B) vocal ability.

A small percentage of his votes may go to Blake, but probably not many, as they type of person that would vote for Phil would not be into what Blake does (I do think most of Chris's votes will go to Blake now).


My actual guess is that the lion share of his votes will be "fair weather" votes for lack of a better term, that is who ever has the best vocal in a particular week will get them.

well, actually there's no way to know those were the bottom three (I think most people would suspect it was lakisha/chris/phil).
