Some more 2/4 hands
I feel like I did a horrible job last session, missplaying several hands. :/
1) Party Poker Limit Holdem Ring game Limit: $2/$4 6 players Converter Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 folds, SB calls, Hero raises, SB calls. Flop: 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4SB, 2 players) SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls. Turn: K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3BB, 2 players) SB checks, Hero checks. River: 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3BB, 2 players) SB bets, Hero folds. Uncalled bets: 1BB returned to SB. Results: Final pot: 3BB Villain is unknown. At the table I thought, that I'm beat here like every time since he either played his draw passive or he wanted to c/r his Ace on the turn ( assuming passive preflop ). Now I think I should have bet to fold out pocket pairs and probalby even open ended straight draws :/ 2) Party Poker Limit Holdem Ring game Limit: $2/$4 6 players Converter Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is Button with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG raises, UTG+1 folds, CO calls, Hero 3-bets, SB folds, BB calls, UTG calls, CO folds. Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (11.5SB, 3 players) BB checks, UTG bets, Hero raises, BB calls, UTG calls. Turn: T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (8.75BB, 3 players) BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, BB calls, UTG calls. River: J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (11.75BB, 3 players) BB checks, UTG checks, Hero checks. Results: Final pot: 11.75BB BB is a strange kind of passive player ( 33 , 3 , 0.7 , 35% wtsd) UTG is a LAG ( 40, 25 , 2.5 ) Is this River a valuebet? The are so many combinations out there that beat me, but I think I should have bet. If I bet I can never fold to a c/r by UTG, right? 3) Party Poker Limit Holdem Ring game Limit: $2/$4 6 players Converter Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, 3 folds, 3 folds, Hero checks. Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2.5SB, 2 players) Hero bets, UTG+1 calls. Turn: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2.25BB, 2 players) Hero bets, UTG+1 calls. River: 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4.25BB, 2 players) Hero checks, UTG+1 checks. Results: Final pot: 4.25BB Villian is BB from hand 2. How often does he bet a worse hand ( the busted flushdraw ) on the river? I hoped to see a free showdown, assuming he would check behind most pairs. Also, an ace is easiliy in his limping range, I guess. Thoughts? Thx in advance Arak |

Re: Some more 2/4 hands
I 2nd barrel hand 1. With the K you may fold 6x and 7x and he is calling a wide range of draws on the flop and again on the turn.
Hand 2. River sucks. I think you have to bet it cuz there are so many worse hands. One thing: often in multiway pots, villains will bet out if that river improved them. I fold to a raise. I often c/r the flop in hand 3. In my experience, most fish bets when checked to in that spot. I like your river play if you would have called a bet. |
