Over 40k hands, I'm -$ when I have 2 pair on the flop. I assume this is the definition of a leak. One example hand, comment please on my play, and suggest a better line. Any general advice on post flop play with 2 pr greatly appreciated.
Villain is PFR 13% VPIP 22% AF 2 over 130 hands; as far as I know, he has raised every pair in an unraised pot: so 80ish% sure he hasn't flopped a set, nor does he have an overpair. In the demo hand you get your money in as a ~2:1 favorite...its (almost) always a good result to get it AI on the flop with 2-pair. The only way I can imagine you are down with flopped 2-pair (other than variance) is if you always slowplay flop and turn and then always push river or something crazy like that. The demo hand is the opposite of that and I'm sure your results are just variance.

A 22/13 has a fairly wide range of hands that he could have limped in the cutoff that. If you're gonna play this hand don't limp along, raise. I expect to see 2 Pair/FD/Combo Draw/Made Straight.

You are only behind sets or a an unlikely straight. Against the latter you have outs. If he has a combo draw it's a coinflip. High variance but +EV.

Many thanks guys. I've had a better look at my stats and HH, looks like mainly "variance", but the stats were skewed by this hand from 100NL (700 hands from 100NL out of 40k hands) I played the rest at 10 and 25NL. This was a fun hand: I don't think slowplaying is my problem!

Kudos for you for the courage to post that grossly misplayed 100NL hand...

I'm still learning but..
I don't call the 4 raise from UTG, I don't call the reraise, and I don't push all in on the flop. |

I made a note! [/ QUOTE ] I bet he did too. Please stop calling preflop raises with suited two gappers, especially if you're in the habit of calling 3bets with them afterwards. If he's a dodgy lagtard then 3bet him, put the pressure on him. If he's half decent then fold trash like this and find a better spot. |

I might play the NL100 hand the same. Both PF calls are read dependend, though.

That would need to be an extremely solid read, wouldn't it? Raises crap preflop and calls HUGE overbets with nothing on the flop.
