"Common People" - William Shatner (don't snicker, this is actually a pretty good CD if you haven't heard it)

[/ QUOTE ]

As in, a cover version of the Pulp song? I try and keep an open mind on these things, but just the idea of this sounds awful.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes. The Shatner album was produced by Ben Folds, with lots of guest contributions (Joe Jackson, Henry Rollins, Aimee Mann). Its actually really good and poignant.

[/ QUOTE ]

That Henry Rollins one, "I Can't Get Behind That", is so funny it makes me cry.

I will listen to the smoking guitar solo at the end of "My Sharona" 4 or 5 times in a row after skipping the rest of the song, not even listening to it once. That has got to be the highest solo:song quality ratio in the history of rock.

The Kinfe - Silent Shout
Junior Boys - So This is Goodbye (entire album)
Hot Chip - Boy From School
The Field - A Paw in My Face

Just a few current selections, there's some classics, but the current songs that I'll listen to multiple times change pretty fast as I get sick of songs.

Taxi- Harry Chapin...live version

[/ QUOTE ]

Good choice. Love this song. And even though it's suckage is equal to the original's greatness, I often find myself needing to listen to Taxi-Sequel. Harry Chapin's "Better PLace to Be" is a two timer as well.
