Re: bellagio 25-50: FPS leads to bad spot
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] i call this without much thought if i got to the river this way. is that a leak? [/ QUOTE ] imho yes [/ QUOTE ] I dont see how the Ace changes things that much, but this all depends on his P/F range. The only hands that he could have made on the river against you are AJ, A9 , or Ax DimesSo, this leaves a bluff of some sort of missed straight or flush draw , or a made hand on the flop. Of course the hand would have been much easier to read if you bet on the flop and then read a lead on the turn from him , etc. But as played, I dont think u can call. The player probably gives you credit for a pretty big hand, and I dont think most people use this Ace as a bluff card more often then they would use the flush or straight card as one. Pitch it |

Re: bellagio 25-50: FPS leads to bad spot
You showed a 5 before when you 3bet to $800. I think that's some important information. The villian could be thinking that you have a trash hand again for a small pair or a draw. On top of that you've totally misrepresented your hand.
If villian has made some moves before or makes thin bets, I would call it down. |

Re: bellagio 25-50: FPS leads to bad spot
Why can't he have something strong here? Whiffed c/r on the flop, bet turn, bet river because he has no reason to believe you will do it for him?
Yes, he COULD be bluffing. But just because you have a bluff catcher and someone takes a line that could conceivably be a bluff, doesn't mean you have to call every [censored] time, as seems to be the fad of the day. That's just too easy to exploit. In a vacuum, if you look at your own range, KK is probably a call here, because you have to call (or raise) about 50 % to prevent being exploitable. However, given that he bet into two players a round earlier, he probably doesn't have enough bluffing hands here. He can't be bluffing too often on the turn, because the other guy could have been sandbagging, and a flop check is not that uncommon in your spot. |
