Yeah, you're never getting called by a worse hand. I'm surprised MP2 called your flop raise.

He may be attempting a checkraise here if he is a bad player. He may also be trying to take down the pot if nobody else wanted to play back on that flop. It's likely that he has a weak diamond, which I don't know how you are going to get him off of it. You have to be able to know if he's folding a weaker diamond there, which it's too early to find out.
