Need some ideas for a paper

Last day of classes are tomorrow, Tuesday, and I have to write a 1pg paper for my night class.

The topic is, "How do we as society ensure ethical socially responsible businesses?"

I'm hitting a roadblock and can't come up with a starting point.

I hope someone can help.

Hmmm...take a completely different approach than that of what everyone else in your class will take and write about how we as society must make ourselves 'ethical' and socially responsibile before we can expect and ensure that businesses are.

However, this could be risky as it could be way off base on what the professor wants to read so use your best judgement.

The more standard (and easier) approach might be to explain the implementation of government regulations (a la sarbanes-oxley).

That idea was something I started thinking about, like government regulation, special interest groups, and unions.

I came up with something that is a complete ramble. I may start over and try something new. Normally, I write and then print, but I am really not liking the way this paper turned out.

Government sponsored business incentives seems like the standard answer. Offer tax breaks to environmentally friendly businesses, etc.

Exactly what I was thinking. Coming up with a "starting point" is practically the entire page.
