NL $2, KK hand, turn decision
BN has stats of 49/7/1.1 after ~75 hands. I saw him pre-flop min-raise from 8 to 16 in the BB w/ AK one hand, and bet ~2/3 pot when checked to on a flop that he didn't hit. Otherwise, he's been unremarkable.
SB ($51.28 in chips) BB ($78 in chips) UTG ($252.06 in chips) Hero ($226.20 in chips) CO ($241.08 in chips) BN ($429.55 in chips) Pre-Flop: Hero K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]] UTG raises to 6, Hero raises to 20, CO folds, BN calls, SB folds, BB folds, UTG folds Flop (~48) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 10[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero bets 37, BN calls Turn (~122) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Hero checks, BN bets 80, Hero ?? Please point out any part of the hand that's poorly played, but I'm mainly concerned about the turn decision here. With his cold call pre-flop, I'd think he's got a pocket pair (more likely 88+), AK, AQ, slight chance of AJ, maybe KQ or KJ also. After calling my bet on the flop, and then betting strong when checked to on the turn, I just have a hard time putting him on anything that I beat. Maybe AQ, but that's about it. Am I the biggest wimp ever for considering a fold here? Thanks for your comments. |

No you're not a wimp for considering folding here. Still I don't think it's +EV. I think that you need to just crai here especially against this donkey. Sure he could have a set or AA but this guy plays a ton of hands and he's just as likely to have AQ/KQ/QJ/JT and call your shove.

I'd bet that turn hard or c/r if we're checking.

Re: NL $2, KK hand, turn decision
Take this hand for example. THe villain I was against had better stats than your villain and ran at like 40/8/1. This hands not standard by any means, but it shows how once you get to the turn this way against this type of villain, you really just need to stick it in:
