Clear 3-bet pre. The fact hero is on exactly 1BI further vindicates this. Obviously with 10BI, you play more cautiously on later streets to control the pot size oop, but if you guys are worried about pot control with 1BI with aces, you may want to rethink this logic.

This is a perfect reraising spot with double-suited aces, exactly for hands like this. Villian thinks he has a good enough chance to improve to call you down, even though he doesn't due to your NFD. As for villian's thought process though, it's pretty simple. I'll run it down if you want.
Preflop: I'm on the button. I raise. Ha ha. He raised from the blinds. Now I know he has aces and I can outplay him postflop. Flop: Just need a 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, or 8 to crack your aces. I call. Turn: Come on. Hit something one time. River: Hooray! Got there! That's what you get for overplaying your hand, fish! |
