The opponent here is an unknown. We've played 15 or so hands and neither of us have been out of line.
Early in the match I checked AKs from the big blind and won with a high card at showdown (ewww, right?). Against an unknown 5-bet range, I should be folding here? [/ QUOTE ] No. I never release AK preflop. In 99% of cases the times the opponent has AA/KK and the times he's overplaying AQ-AT roughly cancel each other out in my experience. Get the chips in and chalk it up as a coinflip even if he shows AA (or AQ). Mathematically speaking: you're in 360, he's in 360, that's 720 in the pot, assume that all the chips are going in if there's further action, meaning you must "call" 965 to win 1685, that's 1.74:1. Even against an extremely conservative opponent range of TT+, AQ+, you are almost even money. Heck, even if we take out AQ it's only 60-40. Jam, hope, and don't kick yourself even if he flips AA. |

If his range is bigger than AA,KK then this is a shove.

I have no clue what his range is here. He's 3-bet once from a big and is pretty standard in terms of the per cent of hands he's been opening from the button.
