No reads except PAHUD numbers on Makabe. He seems SLAPish.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?1047807 Pre-flop: Easy call on the button. Flop: Player to my left shows strength after everyone else checks and I want to see how much he likes his hand. I raise enough so that nobody else will call and I have room to fold if I want. Turn: His check suggests I am ahead, I don't see him slow-playing with higher sets now that the board is more dangerous, so I shove. Should I fold the flop? Should I simply call down to the river with bottom set? Should I call and re-evaluate turn, and if so what cards do/don't I want to see? Thanks |

I think you played it fine. I guess you could argue against raising the flop with bottom set, but in this position I would do the same.
I also think this hand is a good example of how it can help to play with a full stack. If villain had had a deeper stack he could have raised the turn all-in while he was ahead instead of just calling your bet. |
