Re: AQo in BB - wot\'s standard?
if you reraise it should be to 2000 so your flop shove makes more sense.
both a reraise (push most flops) or call are fine. I probably call with your comfortable stack and w/o reads |

Re: AQo in BB - wot\'s standard?
In this situation, you've got a drawing hand. Against a reraise he's got a better drawing hand (AK), or a pair.
If he was in early position, I'd call or fold (depending on my previous info on what hands he'll play in EP), from a MP raise, I call, and from LP I reraise for more info. Against a re-reraise in LP I'm either shoving in or folding (again depending on this guys aggression level) |

[/ QUOTE ] Skyy, To clarify: Are you saying that he will only call the reraise with AK or a pair? Do you think that he will call with any pair or that he will fold some pairs? Do you think that if he calls preflop with 88 he will ever fold the flop even when we are still behind? What do you think that his opening range was? What hands are in his opening range that he will fold to our reraise? What percentage of his opening raise will he fold to our reraise? What percentage of the hands that he called will he fold on the flop? These are the questions that you should be looking to answer in your posts. Comments saying that AQ is a drawing hand and that AK and pairs are a favorite over AQ are pretty useless. |

Re: AQo in BB - wot\'s standard?
If you raise to 2000+ and he reraises then he's probably on AK or stronger.
i.e. if he's eager to stack off now then we should release, cause at best we're a coinflip and at worst heavily dominated. If we get called when we reraise then he's probably on high cards which we may be able to bluff out, especially since we've played the pre-flop strong. If we call preflop we're practicing some pot control which makes it easy to let go if he keeps pushing and we miss. |
