Lol, did you hear though "The tournament is 45 minutes long so we cant show it all" here must have been about 25 hands in it.

If I sat and taught someone ICM, basic kill philling and odds in a day they would have a much better chance of winning a SNG than this woman week of body language reading

[/ QUOTE ]

All thats not even necessary. It's ONE SNG! Anybody can win a single sng as long as they know the hand rankings.

It is impressive considering that the idea was she would DEFINETLY win (she came 2nd but got sucked out on). You can not guarentee victory by teaching how to play well, that is what is puzzling about it.. how could he be so sure?

No, because it's 6 max, and the other players are (presumably) not significantly above average.
Maybe he did this with 10 people and only talked about the one person that came close.

I stopped reading where celebrity conman was mis-spelled as "magician, mind reader..."

[/ QUOTE ]

As far as being sure she was going to win is concerned, she didn't, so how impressive is that? "Wooooooo, I can see into the future a bit wrong" - class act that :-)

Well seeing as he's a magician/showman, and a very good one at that, he could have got her to win in all manner of ways including making sure KK held up.
I think he may be relying on that most non-poker players don't realise how easy it is for a poor player to beat a good player in one session.

The "magician" in question is very well known in the UK and has done loads of great feats in the past, such as playing 9 of the top chess players in the world (with many of them being Grandmasters) at once, and beating a majority of them.

If she had came last he would have shown it on TV, the idea was for her to be able to read her opponents correctly - which she did - coming first was always secondary.

If she had come in last, there is no way he would of aired it.

By means of a very simple trick. He played White against one player and black against another. When it was his turn, he replicated the move made by the master in the other game. Repeat.
