Gold, Jerry. Pure gold.

(That and the fact that he must work harder at keeping up his "shorthand" than just being plain. "Laffin". Slays me.)

Wow, just had a short session vs absolute maniac to my right and crazy guy to my left.

Anyways, the PF portion of that session (and flop I guess) was very interesting. I think I was capable of beating players plus rake in that format, but I'm not sure if I was doing it. Nice upswing though.

Edit: I think about 70% of pots were 3-bet PF and about 60% of pots were 3-way pots.

tyler, nice attempt at trying to get at the NL post problem

Mods,
I realize you are trying new things. I think the lock thing will not address the cultural problem because after posting, a nOOb is going to figure out where to go (or leave the forum, licking his wounds) either way--if the thread is locked or moved. i.e. the noob never makes the same mistake twice*, and it does not teach new noobs. They keep coming and posting here first, because it's a cultural problem.

I think two things have been mentioned that will nip this in the bud: the list of LHE forums should be below limit (even though it does not follow logically, it does follow the current trend of popularity), and the label should read "micro-stakes LHE" or "micro-stakes limit." Both of these should work together, but I think the former is more significant. I think a noob simply clicks the first link that looks good when scanning from top to bottom. Regardless of how retarded we think of someone is for not simply informing themselves of the forums, I think it's a good solution to an existing problem. We can't solve a cultural problem with a solution addressed at individuals.
