i was going to, but today we just rescheduled a high school baseball doubleheader, so unless the rain picks up, i'll miss out on all the free monies that i'm sure bodog will be handing out...

also, while i'm thinking about it...i'm a browns fan (beat, i know), and i'm looking at the odds for the third pick...

you can get brady quinn at -185, and peterson at +350...

to me, those are the only two they could be looking at. joe thomas is an outside, outside chance...

meaning, i could make a pretty decent profit betting on both...

talk me out of it. i'm just about ready to invest 30-40 units on this...i just can't see anyone beyond those two going to my brownies...only way i could lose is joe thomas, right?? and what are the odds we take an o-lineman (even though we need a tackle badly) with the 3rd overall pick with so many potential franchise-type players on offense??

I don't believe Joe Thomas is a huge long shot, so I don't think this is an amazing arb opportunity. I have no insight into the draft other than being a thinking sports fan. Good luck.

Wiper,

Also a browns fan here. I see the browns taking one of those two as well. As all the mock drafts are saying...they need a face on the team. I cant talk you out of it. GL.

I'm definitely going to check it out tomorrow. It could be really profitable or a complete waste of time. I'm just hoping it's not "How many minutes will the Browns take to make their pick?" type of betting.

As for the props that are currently standing on Bodog, I think the value has been squeezed out of most of them. The best one available right now is Brady Quinn at 3 (-185), IMO.

It seems like a lot of money got dumped on these lines sometime this afternoon. Just this afternoon the "Alan Branch pick 15 or later" dropped from +135 to -185, "Calvin Johnson at 2" dropped from -200 to -425, etc. There were some soft props earlier in this week when they were first listed (ie. "JaMarcus Russell at 1" for -175), but I don't like them nearly as much now.
