Re: Lingo Question!
No 200NL implies that the standard buyin is $200. It is suggested to play NL with a buyin of 100 times the big blind so that is why $1/$2 blinds is reffered to as 200NL.

Re: Lingo Question!
[ QUOTE ]
its a players winrate specific to the program pokertracker it means 'big bets per 100 hands played" so with a 2BB/100 and 2000 hands played, that's +40BB [/ QUOTE ] It's actually not specific to PT, as the concept has been around a lot longer. PT, however, makes it possible to track the number very easily. A live player will more likely keep track in BB/hr since he can't realistically keep track of the number of hands he's played. This is what a player is talking about when he refers to his hourly winrate. |

Re: Lingo Question!
Just read this in Pokey's Hand Reading post
"float" (smooth-call on the flop with the intent of taking the pot on the turn) Kinda like slowplaying, I guess? |

Re: Lingo Question!
Floating is when you smooth call a better with the intent of bluffing to take down the pot on a later street.
