ElHombre,

Calling us amicable goofs is quite a compliment compared to other things we have been called in this thread. And, we would tend to agree with your assessment. Also, self-depracating humor can be extremely therapeutic; there are some in here that should try it more often.

Wickss, that hand is classic. Maybe some of you guys see that stuff all the time, but I remember at the time we thought it was pretty hilarious. I still do.

Wickss,

Make sure you put in a couple of SNG sessions every day! Maybe decrease the number of tables.

Cliff notes and Images:

It all started when Wickss decided the taxi business was too dangerous for him

But of course, he decided to fufill his destiny and become a home worker. He started with his life savings

Poker was his work and this was his setup:

Becomming pro comes with time spent studying

So wicks has now a computer, books and he's now a PRO....WAIT we're missing something.. lemme think, of course a MANAGER

And of course, any good manager brings pizza over

His manager decided it was time for Wickss to announce to the world of STTF: Wickss is micro-pro now

So the journey started, Wickss was a beast and was heading to

And of course, our micro-pro had to lay down the line to his opponents. RESPECT MY RAISES

Celebrity and fame came to him, even Brandy tried to seduce our pro

His friends laughted at him

But he showed them how a true pro gets the best

Of course, during the first two weeks, he had trouble but now Wickss is surfing on the micro-world

His journey continues and Slacka chants his success:

There once was a Midwestern cabbie,
Who's job made him seriously crabby.

He got into poker (the low-limit kind),
WTF did you say? Was he out of his mind?

He quit on the taxi, so now hits the mouse,
To make all the plays that will pay for a house.

At three dollars a clip, he'll multi his way,
To busto or riches, it'll happen someday.

We all wish him well but have seen it a ton,
The player that thinks he will win every one.

Some advice to the cabbie, the one with few bucks,
Low limits is fun, playing pro really sucks.

====================

"Driving this bus"
"Drama. Saga. Profit."
"Cliff jumper"
"Flag drop: $3.40"
"Blair Wichita Project"
"2+2 Adoptee"

For MJ:
"Don King of SNGs"
"Barnum or Bailey?"
"Riding the bus"
"Need anything Wicks?"
"Blogging Biographer"
"Sideshow Bob"

=======================
You might be correct, this time Mr. Josem,
It's clear that you know how to play no limit holdem.

But what you are missing my friend with your ish,
Sometimes at this level, they all aren't a fish.

Small blind got his big stack by working the table,
And making good choices, despite Wickss' fable.

Small Blind is the bully, he has all the clout,
And isn't afraid to tell Wickss "Get OUT!"

When min-raising is right, I really don't know,
But I'm not gonna do it, not here that's fo sho.

So folding is right in this sticky spot,
Min-raising is dumb so our Hero got caught.

The moral, my friend (and inferior poet),
Is that Wickss should have known
that he just has to fold it.

Now go back to your foosball, your soccer or pool,
You know for a fact that I'd take you to school
