Default 1000 NL... Moving at the speed of life

Villain was a decent player, probably a bit too loose. He was c-betting a bunch, but I don't think firing twice too often.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $10 BB (6 handed) converter

CO ($1012.75)
Hero ($1295.98)
SB ($1468)
BB ($2268.24)
UTG ($461.75)
MP ($2465.04)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">CO raises to $35</font>, Hero calls $35, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>.

Flop: ($85) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">CO bets $70</font>, Hero calls $70.

Turn: ($225) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">CO bets $150</font>, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $375

My plan is to bet almost any turn when checked to, and fold to almost any turn bet if it comes. Does protecting my hand on the flop outweigh losing the minimum and does folding to any turn bet give up too much? Any merit to a pf 3-bet?

Sure, re-raising preflop has merit, especially if you think he has a wide range here.

I think if you are going to continue past the flop (and you should), you should raise the flop to $230-ish. It will define your hand better and could cause villian to fold a better hand. Just calling makes it look like you have a flush draw and he could keep betting with missed overcards, or a smaller pair.

I would either reraise preflop or on the flop; otherwise, you are not able to get any information from him and you never give him a chance to fold.
