While I definitely see the ultimate point they wished to get across with the ER blow up, the scene definitely seems "out of place." Obviously the writers really wanted a scene that could display the frustration and rage Vic was feeling over the situation, and they may have gone a little over-the-top.
Why was Claudette in the ER when this went down? I don't remember being informed.
