absolutely fine. you have FE and a big hand in HU blinds battle, plus you might get him to fold a better 4.

After seeing the discussion I still think my play was the correct move. He could have nothing, he could have a weak hand and won't be willing to call the shove, and my hand does very well against his range for the times that he ends up calling.

You cannot be drawing dead. You either have a live draw, or currently have the best hand. Against even a tight player you're going to be about 40-45% to win most of the time when called. Since there is no chance you will be called 100% of the time, this play is great.
