Villian is TAG. What's the best approach to this turn?
Notes on villian: -Seems decent -Checked trips on the turn so that he could go for a river raise -Will call with [censored] in the BB and make loose peels -Plays three tables at a time -Will raise 84s 3-handed -Bets very aggressively post-flop -Will pause before betting a monster on the river -Seems to really like calling raises from the blinds -Will slow on the turn if he has nothing and you call him on the flop -Called two bets cold in the BB after a raiser and a three bettor with T9o PokerStars 10/20 Hold'em (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Preflop: Hero is BB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 1 fold, Button raises, 1 fold, Hero calls. Flop: (4.50 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls. check and call. I don't think we are ahead too often if he bets again but we often have 14 outs. I don't like donking here because the pot isn't so big to be worried about protecting our marginal hand, I think we need to call a raise, and if our donk gets called it put us in a really tight river spot. a river bet would have no value and if we check he can play perfectly because we have turned our hand face up.
I c/r the flop and b/f the turn here a fair portion of the time if he is opening very light. |

[/ QUOTE ] yea now that I think about it this is a bad spot. I would checkraise if the board was A76 though because I want villain to incorrectly fold 6 outers. do you think that is a bad spot? |

The turn is completely uninteresting becuz you have a diamond. Theres no other line here but check/call. The river is the interesting street assuming you dont improve. On the river, there are some opponents I check/fold, some I check/call, and some I bet/fold.

River was a diamond. I check/called, but didn't like it none. |

It is hard to say which line is best without more information. If you feel the villain will not raise the river with a lesser hand if you bet but will check down hands that would call a bet if you check, then you should bet/fold the river. If you dont trust the guy and you dont feel comfortable taking a nonshowdown line vs him, then just check/call the river and dont worry about the results. |
