Re: AK s in reraised pot
This is a very tough spot, this is one of the problems with reraising a-k out of position in cash games. Almost any play can be justified here. I would personally 3-bet all in on the flop and hope I don't run into 10-10 or 5-5. The problem is you are unlikely to get called by any hands you beat except for maybe a flush draw which greatly reduces the value of the play.
I don't really like folding here, after you re-raise and then hit the flop that hard you are basically comitted once your c-bet gets raised. -Jerry |

Re: AK s in reraised pot
Easy push. IMO AA/KK doesn't risk overcaller from sb.

Hero's read makes this an easy push. He's doing this with the NFD, other Ks, combo draws, etc. You are only behind 2 sets, because he never has 2 pair here if he's any good. |

Re: AK s in reraised pot
Don't you set his handrange to AA also
If he 4 bet me. He would play with opencards, so i think i would only call with AA in his spot, maybe kind of risky with Sb still left to act |

The point is he can have a lot of stuff that you beat, given your read that he overplays his hand sometimes, and the board is drawy. So you should push because most of the hands you beat will also call given the odds he'll be getting. If you ran into AA/TT/55 here, it's just variance. Of course they are in his range, but they aren't the majority of his range. |

Re: AK s in reraised pot
OP, I dont think villian is flat calling this preflop with AA. With the flat call inbetween you, he doens't want to play a multi way reraised pot with aces imo, especially when he could LOSE value on the flop that would scare an AK or QQ hand away, where he could of gotten a large % of stacks in pre.

Re: AK s in reraised pot
I would Fold QQ,AK to a 4 bet. If he 4 bet hero will never have an call IMO it's push or fold, and who want's to push with AK in a pot you know you will get called, and mostly will be big underdog and sometimes you got a coinflip

Re: AK s in reraised pot
Nice job preflop.
On the flop IMO you didn't bet enough. I think the pot is 80, I'm betting 60. As played I'm having a very hard time putting him on KT, but I can put him on 55 or TT, or a combo draw. The only hand I see you thoroughly lashing is KQ maybe. If there were zero dollars in the pot I'd have to fold. As it stands I'm pushing. |
