Default AJs Getting Almost 2-1 Odds

$5 MTT

Villain Had Pushed All-in Several Hands Ago When I had AQ and He Had 77. Do I assume he has another underpair and call or fold because he puts me on a hand like AJ/AQ

I call this pretty quickly. Villain probably has 44+, ATs+, A9s+, KJ+, KTs+ QJ+ given history, and we are getting good odds.

Since you are about a 2-1 dog against AK or KK, I think you have to call this. You are 46% against a top 10% hand and 37% against a top 5% hand.

Preflop, I like a raise of 2-2.5xBB better, because 3xBB puts you in bad shape if a bigger stack reraises.

Seems like you are putting villain on a tight range, Betgo? What range are you putting him on?

Villain could have a top 10% hand, but there is some chance he just has a fairly strong restealing hand. I am just pointing out that it is a call even against a very tight range.

Especially in a $5. Even if you tighten Villain up to 1010+ and KQo+ the pot odds say this is a call.

If we call an flop an Ace, do we go broke based on our stack size?
