Re: Bottom set super deep against a loose passive
I cant see him beting that much on the river with quads. Hes a big passive donk and wants value and you cant have AK/AQ there.
If he c/c QQ on the flop is unknown to me but certainly possible. Rest of hand makes sense if he would. I think this is AQ a ton but I'm amazed all the time by players like this when they flip over A5dd or something like that. |

Re: Bottom set super deep against a loose passive
This is not results oriented vindication. You are never good on this river.
The preflop minraise from this guy is never AK. He's RAISING 2.3% of his hands. What exactly do you think his REraising range is? It isn't AQs and it sure as HELL isn't A5s. It's AA/KK and MAYBE QQ. That range makes sense based on his stats AND my experience playing poker. This is AA/KK like 90% of the time. On the flop, all of AA/KK/QQ make sense. So we can't really narrow his range here. And he's a station, so we should bet for value. On the turn, I think we can get value from KK, so a bet makes sense, but when this complete passive station minraises us, HE HAS THE NUTS. ALWAYS. QQ just got there and this guy is NEVER minraising KK as a bluff here. The bottom line is that this is only a call on the turn if you put AK in his range. I don't. He's unlikely to minraise AK w/ two players in already and he doesn't play AK like that on the flop. This is almost always AA. |
