Default NL50 - Facing a turn push

Villian is 42/12/2.00
My goal on turn was to go into check/call-mode and see what the river brings.
What to do? Did I play this hand wrong at some point?




Prima Poker skin
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
5 players
Converter

Turn: 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($30.75, 2 players)

How would this play out if there were no A or J on flop?

I would probably make a continuation-bet at the same size. That if the flop is not very scary.
