Re: Best #1 NFL Draft pick of all-time
[ QUOTE ]
Was John Elway ever even the best QB in the league? [/ QUOTE ] Not statistically, but we all know stats aren't as important when it comes to QBs. |

Re: Best #1 NFL Draft pick of all-time
And it's not like Elway's postseason record was so much better than Manning's. He lost 3 super bowls ffs.
Elway has never been as good as Manning in any of Manning's top, oh, 5 seasons. The only thing Manning doesn't have that Elway does is: 14,000 passing yards 25 TDs (lol) an extrea ring. Manning's career is already better than Elway's. |

Granted the AFC was teh suck in the 80's, but it's ridiculous to not give Elway a lot of credit for taking a 'meh' team to the SB 3 times.

And I'm man enough to admit that I think this discussion would be moot if Peyton didn't get a ring this year. The truth is, Peyton is poised to dessimate every QB comparo there has ever been. In 10 years, I think Rice and Manning will be the undisputed best players to ever play football. Hence my Tiger/Jack comparison. |

I don't know enough about golf to throw out a comparison, but Peyton passed him years ago. The three guys standing in the way of Peyton being the best QB ever are Marino, Young, and Montana. |

Re: Best #1 NFL Draft pick of all-time
Its nice to see that people have found new ways to slight Peyton Manning.
