As for chip denominations, there is only 1 chip denom in play, a 25K chip. Any other racks on the table are for Andy's use in calculating the probability that his opponent will fold to a bet. And, just so you know Pie, Andy's friend, and employee's name is Craig Singer, not Greg Singer..and he told me at one point last week, that he was reading the Bluff Updates from the table...why werent they reading CP's? Is it because they once again missed the boat and only now are trying to save face by providing inaccurate information.

Perhaps your time would be better spent reporting on Fantasy Poker...hmmm where ever did you get that idea from??

If anyone is interested in the REAL story behind the Andy Beal match, be sure to check out the April issue of Bluff. We have Michael Craig writing the feature, as he has been at the table for both meetings. Could there be a more reliable source on this? I dont think so.

Sure, someone could plug down $10 million, but they would have to wait their turn to play. Yes, heads-up games happen all the time at high limits... and NO, you can't just sit in on one of them. The two players have to agree to pay a certain "time" to the casino and that's that.

Did you know that some hold'em games in Vegas are played strictly 8 handed, or 9 handed or 10 handed or 11 handed if the players agree. It doesn't have anything to do with the plackard and the plackard doesn't state anything of how many players are required anyway. Take it from someone with several years experience in the gaming industry, almost a decade in Las Vegas Poker and was a floor person at the Bellagio. I got a little training in the process.

Despite your little war with Bluff you may want to be careful with the tongue there. Perhaps while you are "reporting" on how placards work and the "negotiations" of chips you might want to research the subject.

You are essentially calling Michael Craig a lier after he spent years following the big game and researching his book. He devotes half of a chapter as to the reasoning for establishing the corporation being based upon the fact that you cannot hold a private heads-up game in a las vegas casino and that the corp would be a method of keeping the game heads up.

If the bellagio spread heads-up only games, and Beal requested a heads up only game then why was Ted Forrest allowed to plunk down his money while Chip was playing Andy?

From the TPTBTSK:

Ted decided not to start the game with a confrontation. Anybody with the minimum buy-in could sit in any open seat in the Bellagio poker room. Reese would have objected, however, and it wasn't worth starting the game with a fight. It was enough that Ted felt the butterflies in his stomach he hadn't felt since his $15-$30 stud days, when he was putting most of his bankroll on the line whenever he played.

I don't know why I even argue this point. Seems pretty senseless. Different card rooms have different rules, despite what gaming says. It's the nature of the beast. Heads up is heads up. Plunk your money down and get in line.

There have been some vicious attacks. Some of them were baseless, graphic and uncalled for. But I guess when you put yourself out there and aren’t afraid to let people know who you are you are going to get a response – good or bad. Let’s try to keep the name calling to a minimum. There is an obvious competitive factor but it doesn’t have to get ugly. Competition is good for product.
