Default passive or aggressive? overpair, flop is capped by villain

Villain has just sat in, no reads.

How would you guys play this hand? All streets in question.

Is the 3-bet okay?

I didn't really want to bet the turn b/c I was afraid of another check raise by him, but I'm think thats too passive.

I would bet the turn and call down if raised. As played I would raise the river and likely fold to a 3bet. I can't see a set capping the flop and trying to c-r the turn very often.

You definitely have to bet the turn after he checks to you, and if you get c/r-ed you can either call down or fold. This is where a read makes this decision either right or wrong. With absolutely no reads on the guy though, I would probably call him down and then take a note on his actions.

Bet the turn fearlessly. If you get egg on your face by his check raise get him right back by folding the river u/i.
