5/10 live, line check
effective stacks 1200ish
Villain is pretty tight preflop but he loves to call postflop, I think he's a converted limidonk ala hardly ever folds top pair. He is also hugely suspicious of me from experience. We had a hand earlier where I bet 3/4 pot on the flop with a flush draw got there on turn and he folded to 3/4 pot on the turn. limped pot 5 ways, I have K9o in bb flop 976, sb checks, I check, villain bets $80 into $55, all fold, I raise to $220. Turn 3 I bet $350, he insta-call with no thought behind it. I think this pretty much means I'm always good here (?) River 9, I give the deathstare for like 3 seconds and shove for value |

Re: 5/10 live, line check
You said he loves to call postflop but yet he is overbetting the flop and you are raising that bet... that logic doesn't make sense because your read sounds like he is a calling station. Calling stations tend to be more passive and not overbet the pot. But maybe I misunderstood the read or it was not worded right?
I don't like following up the turn that much, just check there I think. River is a clear push. |
