I'd deff drop the 5 wood. Actually, I'd drop the 5 wood and the 3 iron and go out and but a nice hybrid club to replace to 3 iron.

my woods are 99% off the tee clubs, and the 3 iron is my 2nd shot on most par 5s (playing the tips). So i like the idea of a hybrid for the 3and 4 iron, any suggestions on brands? I've hit the macgregor and the callaway heavenwood, they weren't too bad.

tdouble: the 5 wood is my off the tee if i need it 225-240 in the fairway, there is a pretty large gap between my 3wood and my 3 iron (260-220)

Drop a wedge. Whatever you use less out of the 52 and 60.

probably drop the 3 iron for the typical 10 handicapper....as other have said dropping a wedge is an option.

I have used 53 and 58 degree wedges for the last 4 seasons and have no issues with large gaps in yardages, or needed a 60* for flops, etc

Drop the 3 wood. It sounds like you play like me just worse and I have almost no use for a 3 wood because a 5wood is still long enough on any par 4. Second suggestion would be 3 iron, but I hit mine off the tee a lot. Definitely keep the wedges.

It depends how savvy a short game you have. You can use a 56 for all the same things a 60 is good for, so I'd drop the 60.

You have to keep the driver. My favorite thing in golf is smashing the big dog.

I would say your 5wood and 3 iron are similar in length and whichever one you like the best keep it and ditch the other.

Most long players should not be dropping wedges
