Re: KQs against a maniac
I know it's maybe not a really good play, but something like AJ, 99, 88? (If he is doing bluffs)
But this guy is nuts! maybe it wouldn't take a set to beat him? |

Re: KQs against a maniac
I think the hand is played fine, but I cant see where its a trap.
I'd be tempted to raise the turn, or even lead / push depending on how nuts he is, even if your beat you have between 8 & 13 outs. |

Re: KQs against a maniac
this isnt exactly trapping him, just good play . If hes a moron he could have nearly anything and if you raise him he could push with 88 so i like the call

Re: KQs against a maniac
Uhh....dont know if you "Trap" him exactly but against a maniac I think this is a super drawy board. I would try and wait for a much dryer board to trap or let a maniac like this hang himself. I would raise the flop with the OESD, then you can take the lead on turn, and if he plays back on turn then youll have a better idea if you are ahead or not. Maniacs will call you down with underpairs/draws/bottom and mid pairs so even if you take the lead on the turn hell probably call you if he has any piece of this. I dont like the river pairing because a maniac could easily have a T here. C/C on river is fine at this point though.
