I expect to be a 2-1 dog here on average, which means that bet has about an EV of -$3.00 each time. However, I think this is made up for the LAG/Donk image it creates for me. This is the cheapest situation I can think of to set up this image. I expect that it could lead to future +EV situations. Thoughts?

Wouldn't bother with this kind of play myself. I make enough donk plays without trying to add more.
I doubt anybody puts a lot of weight on what you do against a short stack.
