Re: One of those really annoying spots.
raise small to induce a shove/shove. if you havent made a big semi-bluff yet, you might get more credit for an overbet shove here.
its a more difficult of a hand if he knows that you're 18/14, but in a blind battle, i think he's felting sooo many things here that you need to go for it. he could easily push something like T9 or a fd. |

[/ QUOTE ] That's an interesting plan, to 3-bet him in a bluffy size so he may push a hand like T8 or T9. I don't know, since everyone goes apeshit in these blind battles it does feel dirty to play this one passively. It would also feel dirty to get all in on the flop against QT. In the actual hand, I called. The turn was the 9x that put out a second flush draw. He bet 110 into 160, and I mucked. |

Board is drawy as hell. I would repop it in that situation and call a shove.

[ QUOTE ] He's never folding a hand better than yours so I don't see much point in raising. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] but you're not getting paid off when you hit that draw if you dont push |

Re: One of those really annoying spots.
I would 3 big, since your draw is fairly big, and a favorite over other draws, but has nothing going for it in the way of implied odds.
Even if this guy's a nit, he is much more likley to have two pair/draw here, than a set, and you can get it in even money, or better, or maybe even fold out bottom two pair. Whichever you think has more FE, a shove, or a smaller bet ($180-$200ish) that leaves you a little bit of room on the turn. |
