Shoving now keeps him from check-folding if an 8 happens to fall, so there's that. Just calling with the plan of pushing the river allows him to keep betting if he doesn't really like his hand that much, but given his stats so far and his turn power-play, I'm thinking he probably likes his hand a lot.

So I would probably shove.

What kind of hands do you think he has there that he likes a lot? Just curious as to what you think he has and whether he calls the shove or not with it

Set/2 pair/85o as he was SB in an unraised pot.

I think he calls the shove often enough, and your hand is slightly disguised.

I know we only have 30 hands, but given his stats, I think a set seems quite likely. Or maybe AA/KK.

Since he's in the blinds and our super-tight-passive read is sketchy, two pair (76 in particular) and the same straight you have also seem possible.
