Thank god I sold all of my "normal" cards and bought Sportflix. Those haven't gone down, have they?

Of course not. A discerning public is easily able to see the value of getting three cards in one!

Good thing I still have like 20 Kirby Puckett rookie cards, and 1 autographed. Too bad he got arrested for beating his wife and locking her in the basement for a week.

BTW any collectors reading this thread I need some advice.

I have some decent stuff I'd like to get graded. Is PSA still the best? I never really liked the off brand ones at all. BGS was ok but I always thought of PSA as the best company. If you were in my situation (collected from 88-94) and wanted to get a few random cards graded, would you go with them?

I collected basbeballs cards in the 80s for fun and b/c they were really going up in value. In 88 or so, an 85 Mattingly was $85 (It's now $2.50). The 88 Donruss set is only $10 (I used to buy packs for about a $1!) Basically there's no 80s card now worth over $60. Kind of disappointing.

MAttingly Rc year is 84.

Cards changed DRASTICALLY with the advent of game used and autograph cards..

The whole market is garbage now..

I hate sports cards. I remember being young and trading a bunch of MJs - nothing remarkable - for some great oldies like walter payton and hank aaron then one day my small box of my favorite, most valuable cards was stolen. Not at school or some stupid crap like that, either! F SPORTS CARDS

Are magic cards not from the first sets worth anything? I think I have quite a few of those in the attic.
