Re: Q10 big draw
This isn't bad but in position I think bet/calling is okay, and that C/Ring(as opposed to leading out) is probably best.

Re: Q10 big draw
why such a big raise? Just make a 15-20 raise and get the rest in on the turn.

Re: Q10 big draw
I agree with the above poster and probably would have just called that bet.
I also would have just folded this pre-flop from that position. If you were on the button or cut-off a call would be ok but I think theres too many people left behind to make this call. If UTG had folded I wouldn't be opposed to leading with this hand. |

Re: Q10 big draw
Well he had $24 left, so pretty much any legit raise leaves him with 4-9 dollars so I figured if he was going to call that then he would call the shove. Does that make sense?

Re: Q10 big draw
just call, the flop rr.
if he's only raising w/4% of hands, why are you calling his p/f raise? |

[/ QUOTE ] I think some of the above posters and myself included missed stack sizes. With stack sizes I probably would have played it post flop just like you. However, stack sizes make your pre-flop play even worse. Your calling his raise with Q-10 suited for implied odds and he is not giving you enough with that small stack. |

In that scenario he would be getting good enough implied odds to play this hand. However, with villains small stack and OP's bad position I don't like it. |

Re: Q10 big draw
on flop -- the reason we fast play combo draws is to add folding equity to an already strong draw and to add a bit of deception to our play
given his pfr of 4, and the fact that he opted to check min raise the flop instead of continuation bet it, i think we can assume that we have 0 folding equity.. we have position, a huge draw, a passive opponent, and direct odds + implied odds calling cr >> pushing over cr |
