It's not a very tall heirarchy. Most of the employees are designers. The workspace is very open concept, with some offices around the perimeter. I guess you would consider my role mid-management - I direct report to VP of ops. I think I'll go with the 'where would I be working?' approach, and act surprised if it's not an office.

That, or I'll just find the biggest office in the place, and move my [censored] in when no one's watching.

It is certainly nice to hear from people who have actually worked in a cube farm instead of reading about them in school...

Managers are in cubes at my place - directors are in offices.

Makes it akward when the director asks my manager to ask me to do something and s/he sits one cube away. So annoying...
