Yeah, we haven't discussed if it'll be limit or pot limit or what. I personally don't care either way.

I think Pot limit is probably more popular around here.

We should probably figure out some kind of formula to calculate the differences in number of players and elimination position of each player.

MTTC set out a formula that i think works. btw, i want to make a stipulation that about it being on sites that allows US players (no PP) so that it would be fair. Also need to find out how much you want to bet, but this is the MTTC formula

Scoring:

- (How many people you out-lasted) / (Entrants of MTT) x 100 = Sub Total

- Sub Total + (ITM Bonus) + (FT Bonus) + (WIN Bonus)= (Total)

- Bonuses are only added if they are achieved.

- To achieve the ITM Bonus you must cash in the tournament.

- To achieve the FT Bonus you must make it to the final table of the tournament.

- To achieve the WIN Bonus you must come in first in the tournament.

Bonuses Bases on Entrants:

Entrants: ITMBonus FTBonus WINBonus
100 -500 5.55 10.75 23.50
501 -1000 5.50 11.50 25.00
1001 -1500 5.45 12.25 26.50
1501 -2000 5.40 13.00 28.00
2001 -2500 5.35 13.75 29.50
2501 -3000 5.30 14.50 31.00
3001 -3500 5.25 15.25 32.50
3501 -4000 5.20 16.00 34.00
4001 -4500 5.15 16.75 35.50
4501 -5000 5.10 17.50 37.00
5001 -5500 5.05 18.25 38.50
5501 -6000 5.00 19.00 40.00
6001 -6500 4.95 19.75 41.50
6501 -7000 4.90 20.50 43.00
7001+ 4.85 21.25 44.50

EXAMPLE: Stars Tournament, You finish 9th out of a 2000 person field.

(1991/2000) x 100 =99.55
99.55 + 5.40 + 13.00 + 0 =117.95
(You would achieve a total of 117.95 points for that finish)

Most points wins.

Payouts:
# 1-9Entrants: (1st-100%), (2nd-0%), (3rd-0%)
# 10-19Entrants: (1st-70%), (2nd-30%), (3rd-0%)
# 20-? Entrants: (1st-60%),(2nd-25%), (3rd-15%)

I'm interested in just doin it. No [censored] excuses. You think you're good at mtt's. Bring it.

Whhhaaaaa. "I don't wanna commit." Don't. Save it. You know you wont stand a chance anyway.

I'm just sayin.

Let's do it. Nothing crazy. We play like 1 a day or a total of some number and see who places further/cashes the most x buy in.

It's simple. We can track everything through OfficialPokerRankings.com.

When do we start. No BS. No drama. What time, what day?

[/ QUOTE ]

I'll commit to a 2 - 2.5 hour HU session on thurs night after 6:00 PM. "No [censored] excuses."

You should limit this to like 10 MTTs over a week, announced in advance, and in the $10-$50 range. This would allow for a couple of $50s, a couple of $40s, a couple of FT 24+2s, and some of the Stars $10 donkaments. 2 or 3 limit and the rest PL.

I think that it is a test of varying skills to play a $40 limit and then a $10 PL donkament. Best man (or woman) wins.

Someone can track the stats using PTO and post a winner. We'd need to know screen names for folks that use aliases.

Doing an "ironman" type challenge would really just measure who plays the most. This way people with jobs and real lives stand a chance for bragging rights.

I'm down for Pot Limit 08 and and Limit O8.

MTTC's scoring system is fine with me. Although, I don't want to be in charge of the math. I'm starting to get sick and lazy.

What about field sizes? I like the idea of 10 multiple table minimum. So that's at least 99 players.

And, what you guys think about rebuys? I think we should exclude them for this first challenge.

This guy was talking specifically to you. He was under the impression that you wanted to measure dicks.

Shabamabam, I'll play you if you want. Check your PM.

Oh and remember that whole HULA thing that never took off? Well stars has multi-table heads up tournaments now...they're under the heads up part of sit & go tab.

Yawn. I know exactly what you thought and what you were getting at.

As I noted in my other post, that you must have skipped over in a fit of chest-thumping pride, I said I was joking.

If you need to continue to discuss this, please PM me and save this thread for the discussion of the (non-heads up)MTT contest.
